Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for Depression (Self-Study)

This recorded training will cover the cognitive model that is specific to depression and introduce participants to the focus of CBT use with this presentation. Participants will discuss the role of psychoeducation and agenda setting and especially eliciting positive data. The session will discuss the clinician’s role in the therapeutic alliance and the use of self-disclosure.  Participants will address the difficulties in setting goals as well as identify strategies and interventions that are helpful with presentations of depression. The training will explore the use of Behavioral Activation techniques especially as it relates to the activity/mood monitoring and activity scheduling and the trial for core belief strategy among others.
