This hour long recorded virtual training was facilitated and organized by the Northeast/Caribbean Mental Health Technology and Transfer Center. This training will discuss concepts related to perinatal loss including identification of different types of perinatal loss. Participants will be invited to explore the impact of grief and loss as well as to identify effective strategies used to support individuals and families that have experienced perinatal loss.

· Discuss the prevalence of common mental disorders in the perinatal period including signs and symptoms.
· Articulate the risks associated with untreated mental disorders during the perinatal period and other considerations when caring for birthing individuals.
· Identify appropriate perinatal resources concerning mental health support and culturally responsive treatment for historically underrepresented groups.
