This five part video training provides content previously delivered live via representatives from the University at Buffalo’s Institute on Trauma and Trauma-Informed Care. The series provides an introduction to trauma, discusses the theme of re-traumatization and ways in which this can occur on individual, professional and organizational levels, practices and steps to neutralizing re-traumatization and employing trauma-sensitive practices as well as strategies to respond to in the moment trauma reactions. The course will close by providing content on the impact of working with trauma and discuss themes of secondary traumatic stress, vicarious trauma and resilience.
